LEADER
Thread-Up Leader / Spacer
NT Audio manufactures five types of leader: From frame-countdown leader for the initial thread-up of reels, platters and interlocks, to leader for use between trailers and intermissions. Our leader is made from high strength polyester.
Type A
A modified academy countdown leader used for the initial thread - up of reels, platters and interlocks. It has footage numbers printed on clear leader, and the soundtrack is marked for easy threading. Type A is available in six lengths: 18', 25', 35', 50', 70' and 100' rolls.
Type C
Used for intermissions, thread-up and interlock applications with the projector dowser closed. This is a clear leader with blue sound track identification and solid frame lines. Type C is available in six lengths: 25', 35', 50', 100', and 500' rolls.
Type D
Serves the same purpose as the C leader. The only difference is that this is a blue leader with sound track identification and clear frame lines. Type D is available in three lengths: 50', 100' and 1000' rolls.
Type B
An all-black leader with soundtrack identification and frame lines for easy threading. It is used between trailers and for intermissions without shutting down the lamp or closing the dowser on the projector. Type B is available in six lengths: 25', 35', 50', and 100' rolls.
Type BB
An all-black leader with frame marks along the edge of the film. It can be used between trailers and for intermissions without shutting down the lamp or closing the dowser on the projector. Type BB is available in four lengths: 35', 50', and 100' rolls.
